Report on final dissemination event
Deliverable 5.6
Participants in the final dissemination event of the READY4DC project engaged in a captivating and constructive discussion preceding the project’s closure. In-person and online participants exchanged views and posed questions to project experts. Project partners considered the valuable feedback and comments in finalizing the whitepapers.
The event was succeeded by InterOPERA’s inaugural dissemination event, laying the groundwork for the first real-life multi-vendor multi-terminal projects in Europe, building upon the groundwork and results of READY4DC.

Framing the European Energy System
Deliverable 4.5
High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) stands as a globally employed technology for the efficient transmission of substantial electrical power quantities. To align with European objectives of seamlessly integrating renewable energy sources and phasing out thermal power plants, a rapid expansion of HVDC projects is imperative. Given that current HVDC projects operate as point-to-point connections, the evolution of meshed DC grids becomes essential. This whitepaper delves into the enduring role of HVDC and meshed DC structures, particularly Multi-Terminal, Multi-Vendor (MTMV) HVDC grids, within the transformative landscape of the European energy system.

Multi-Vendor Interoperability Process and Demonstration Definition (final version)
DELIVERABLE 3.2
This paper outlines the joint perspectives of stakeholders across industry, research and academia. It first addresses the selection criteria and the demonstration proposal of the first multi-terminal, multi-vendor (MTMV) demonstrator. Also, a generalized approach to achieve functional specifications beyond the first demonstrator is proposed. Moreover, this paper suggests the steps required for the implementation of the first MTMV demonstrator. This includes the sharing of roles and responsibilities. Finally, a roadmap towards largescale MTMV HVDC networks is presented by different options which could be followed after.

Whitepaper: Legal and Regulatory Aspects of a Multi-Vendor Multi-Terminal HVDC Grid (final version)
DELIVERABLE 2.3
A multi-vendor, multi-terminal (MVMT) HVDC1 grid requires coordination and governance, standards, and protection of IP – issues that are regulated by law. A stable and enabling legal framework forms an essential basis for investment in HVDC technology. This Whitepaper describes the main legal and regulatory framework on several topics relevant for an interoperable HVDC network.
